Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs)
A Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) sets out how the environmental effects of building work will be controlled: noise, dust, water, waste and the ecology around the site. CMP Construct prepares council-compliant CEMPs, either as standalone documents or alongside a full Construction Management Plan, for projects across London and the UK.
Councils condition CEMPs where construction could affect sensitive surroundings: homes and schools close to the site, watercourses and drainage, protected habitats, or simply the scale and duration of the works. Like a CMP condition, a CEMP condition must be discharged before work can legally start on site: the plan is submitted, reviewed by planning and environmental health officers, and approved.
